Well, at least a very rare, highly collectible Japanese Fender Buck Owens telecaster, that is. This Telecaster has been in the arsenal of the NEXI pedals demo team. But it never made it out to tradeshows because it basically sounded less than favorable. Played like a dream. Looked really cool. But just didn’t have the mojo.
NEXI Industries has been making some revolutionary pedals over the past five years. They are very close friends of mine. I love the guys over there. If you haven’t heard of them, check them out. But if you have been privileged to attend a trade show and heard their demo artist, Ron Huisen; you have not only heard some great pedals but you have also heard one of the best guitarists on the planet. Ron knows tone. He is an insanely great guitarist. Ron already has Sheptone pickups in his strats, so it was time to drop my Tele set in to Buck and bring that sparkly little thing to life. The guys just sent me over pictures of the procedure. Thank you to all of the NEXI team…Jeroen, Jari, Ron, Roland, and Chris. Hopefully we can all get together again soon.
Do you have a cool story of how Sheptone brought your guitar to life? I’d love to hear it.
